Our Current Board Members

 

Henry Zelones OAM LGM JP – President

Henry Zelones has been a member of the Armadale Business Association Chamber of Commerce since 1977. He ran several local businesses under his Trionix brand and established his first electronic servicing business in Gosnells in 1971, Trionix Retravision in 1974 in Kelmscott, Trionix TV Rentals in 1976 and relocated Trionix Services from Gosnells to the Kelmscott industrial estate in 1977. He relocated his Retravision to Jull St Armadale in 1979. Henry previously served as President of the Armadale Chamber of Commerce from 1984 to 1990 and again from 1997 to 1999. Henry represented the Armadale Chamber on the Board of the Federated Chambers of Commerce during his tenure as President in the 80’s. In 2009 he became a founding member of the Armadale Region Business Assassination. He was also honored with a Life membership of the Chamber in 1999. In 1989 Henry was elected to the City of Armadale Council, served as the City’s Planning Committee Chairman for 18 years and as the Mayor of the City of Armadale from 2011 to 2019. Due to his increased work load as Mayor, Henry closed Trionix in 2012, but kept his membership through the Office of the Mayor. His other experiences at a State level was on the Board of the WA Local Government Association 13 years, Heritage Council of WA 6 years, a Commissioner with Western Australian Planning Commission for 10 years. Henry retired from the Council in October 2019. In January 2020 Henry was elected as Chairman of the Board. He now runs a small Local Government Advisory Service.


Pru Cameron – Vice President

Pru Cameron joined the board in March 2022, and stepped up into the Vice President role towards the end of 2022.

Pru is a business owner and registered BAS agent, and built her bookkeeping practice, Benchmark Business Works, from the ground up since 1992 before then selling to the Carbon group in early 2022. She remained there until January 2023, and has recently stepped into a new part time role with Stewart Private Accounting, as the Senior Bookkeeper running their bookkeeping division. This paid employment sits alongside her commitment to her businesses, Complete Merchandising Solutions (a merchandising company predominantly servicing the hardware sector) and Busselton Holiday Home (a delightful holiday rental in West Busselton).

Being very community focused, Pru has a special interest in small business, understanding that these are the lifeline of our local community. Specifically, she is interested in fostering the success of Business Armadale in showcasing and supporting our local business community.

Pru is a member of ICB (Institute of Certified Bookkeepers), QBO certified, Xero Certified, and a registered BAS agent. B.Com. (Marketing) Cert IV Financial Services (Bookkeeping) BAS Agent


Natalie Crosswell – Secretary

Natalie is the owner of Future Steps Financial Planning, a local financial advisers business on Prospect Road, Armadale.

Having worked alongside founding adviser, Greg Walkington for over 13 years, Natalie took over the role as principal adviser in 2016 when he retired.

Natalie is able to assist clients with all areas of financial planning – from Cash Flow/Debt Management, Superannuation, Retirement and Pre-Retirement Planning to Personal Life insurance (Life, TPD, Trauma and Income Protection), Savings and Investment plans including Borrowing to Invest.

Stephen Anthony – Treasurer

Stephen is the founder and principal of Perth Accounting & Tax Solutions. He has over 35 years of experience in Accounting and Taxation. Stephen has always been passionate about delivering great accounting and tax solutions to businesses. Stephen has held a number of board positions for schools, charities and has been treasurer for many not-for-profit organisations.

Stephen has a keen interest in kayaking and bushwalking. Stephen is also a Board member of Rotary and you may see volunteering at the gates of the Rotary Bring & Buy in Maddington Shopping Centre car park on Sunday mornings.
